Like its cousin Japanese Knotweed, Giant Knotweed is a perennial plant which will form dense thickets. Leaves are larger than those of Japanese Knotweed - up to 40cm in length, with fine hairs on the underside.
Giant Knotweed stems are similar in appearance to bamboo, and can often reach over 4 metres in height!
Often found on riverbanks, lakes and loch shores. Giant Knotweed is much less common than its cousin!
